Patty and Bambi Retirement

Patty Griffiths and Bambi Baughn

After 21 years of service to the Community Action Commission of Fayette County, Patty Griffiths retired from the agency’s Housing Director position. Patty wrote the first Self Help Grant in 1992 and became Housing Director 1 year later when the grant was funded. Over the years, the program grew under Patty’s direction. During her tenure at CAC, the agency built over 270 affordable homes.

Patty graduated from the Ohio State University and spent some time in real estate before coming to CAC. Over the years, Patty has served on various boards and committees and was highly committed to every task she was ever assigned to complete. Staff member Tina Dahmer said, “She is one of the most dedicated individuals I have ever met. She was not only the housing director but she truly cared about every aspect of homeownership and stability of families. She is also very committed to the community in which she lives and her church. She is one of the best people I know and I truly miss her.”

Patty continues to work part time and has two grandchildren.
