Early Head Start Child Care Partnership
Mission: The mission of the Fayette County Early Learning Center is to EMPOWER the children and families of Fayette County through education, motivation, provision of opportunity, wellness, encouragement and respect.
Early Head Start Child Care Partnership (EHS-CCP): The EHS-CCP began in 2015. In 2015, the state departments of Job and Family Services began to implement quality improvement guidelines, which increased the quality expectations for child care centers. National Head Start decided to create a grant which allowed for Early Head Start programs to partner with existing child care that desired to increase the quality of care and education provided for their children ages 0-3.
Fayette County Early Learning Center serves 60 children in 3 partners in 3 counties. Our partners are: Rock-a-Bye Early Learning Center in Fayette County, Sunrise Sunset Child Development Center in Highland County, and Champions in the Making Forest E. Wilson Center in Clinton County. All 3 centers are now star rated and receive financial, professional development and physical support from the EHS-CCP grant.
This is a center based, free program for qualifying families. For more information or to apply contact information is:
